"We see things not as they are, but as we are." - Anais Nin
I am glad you are here!
You might be someone who is thoughtful and self aware, but still find yourself feeling stuck, especially in relationships, intimacy or your sense of self. Even with insight, certain patterns can keep repeating, or you may feel disconnected from your emotions, your body or what you truly need.
Many of the people who I support have experienced trauma (childhood, medical, sexual) and are trying to make sense of how those experiences continue to shape their inner world, their bodies and their relationships. I also support individuals navigating sexual and intimacy concerns, including compulsive sexual behaviors and porn addiction, infertility, birth trauma or pelvic pain.
In addition, I enjoy supporting biracial individuals who may feel they are navigating their confusion around identity, belonging and self definition. As someone who is also biracial, I hold an understanding of the nuance and complexity that can come with navigating multiple identities.
Whether you've been holding a lot for a long time or something recent has surfaced, our work can be a space to hold it with care and begin moving toward a deeper sense of alignment within yourself.
Alongside individual work, I enjoy working with couples who feel caught in cycles of miscommunication, disconnection or intimacy struggles. Together, we look beneath those patterns to better understand what's happening emotionally and relationally, and how to shift those dynamics in a meaningful way. I work with a range of relationships structures including monogamous, non-monogamous, and queer relationships, and I am kink- BDSM-affirming, supporting exploration with openness and without judgement.
My work is trauma-informed, relational and body-aware. I draw from Somatic Experiencing, PACT, and concepts from Internal Family Systems to understand how stress and memory live in the body. Together, we can begin to understand how different parts of you show up in moments of pressure, connection or protection and how to relate to them in a way that feels more supportive and aligned.
People who tend to work well with me value honesty and a willingness to be gently challenged. My office space is intentionally casual and grounded - somewhere you don't have to perform or have everything figured out. All parts of you are welcome here: the overwhelmed parts, the parts that you understand and the parts that you don't yet.
This work unfolds collaboratively and at a pace that honors both your capacity and your story. My style is direct, honest, playful and gentle. I tend to work best with people who are looking for a longer term space to explore themselves in therapy, with room for honest reflection, compassionate challenge, and deeper understanding over time.
If this resonates with you, I'd be glad to connect and explore whether we are a good fit, in person or online.
Lived experience and Areas of Personal Understanding
My approach is shaped not only by my professional training, but also by personal experiences that have given me a deeper appreciation for how complex, layered, and non-linear healing can be. I bring this understanding into my work with care, respect, and intention while staying humble about the parts of myself that are still learning and growing.
